Around 1980, original partners Looch (Luciano Delgado) and Rat Bastard were looking for a way to set up a domain for creativity outside the establishment. They lucked into a great venue in a not-so-great location for cheap - really cheap - so they cracked open their piggy banks and established SYNC STUDIOS. SYNC had four rehearsal studios in Miami, and the cheapest rehearsal rates in town (probably in the world), and that was a great thing. They got to know every up and coming, non-transportationally challenged band in the area. Eventually, Looch and Rat Bastard started recording in the studio, and did demo projects for a variety of artists including, Marylin Manson, the Mavericks, The Volunteers, Alex Fox, Charlie Pickett, The Eat, Diane Ward, Sons of You, and Ho Chi Minh. Through the first 15 years SYNC was always on the cutting edge of technological advances while remaining completely empathic to the needs of the artist. Since Looch and Rat Bastard were musicians, they understood what clients looked for, so artistic purity and empathy always remained high.

In 1995, Looch and Electronica artist, Dan Warren, joined forces and co-founded The Midi Room, which featured brand new digital technologies, and cutting edge electronic production methodologies. Then, in 1997, The Studio and The Midi Room merged and moved to South Beach. They became MBRS - Miami Beach Recording Studios. This merge and move was a defining evolution that brought them a new wave of varied genres to produce. With Electronica's growing popularity MBRS welcomed clients such as DJ Craze, Beat Dominator, Trip Theory, Spacemen, and Kosmic Baby into their fold. The resurgent popularity of Jazz in its various incarnations has also brought MBRS the talents of Brian Murphy, Lenard Rutledge, Bobby Thomas Jr., and Magda Hiller to name a few.

In 2000, MBRS welcomed Gus Rubio aboard as partner. Gus is a blend of musical talent and Zen. He is a rock musician that has incredible acoustic music recording sensibilities. He is also a highly accomplished martial arts master and teacher. Gus is a welcome addition to MBRS' formidable electronic music and software-centric approach to music production.

Midstream of 2005, MBRS has decided to combine forces with Electric Light Media founder, Evangelos Koutsouradis, to broaden the products and services that it can offer engineers, songwriters, producers, musicians, filmmakers and other artists in the audio-visual realm. The goal is to create a holistic avenue for artists to produce the many aspects of their audio- visual projects under one roof sacrificing neither quality nor artistic integrity.

IN SUMMER 2008, MBRS proudly announces the relocation and opening of our brand new facility in the infamous North Miami recording district. After thirteen years in South Beach, we have expanded to three times the size with spacious, beautiful new control rooms, vocal booths, and an immense new live room to provide you with a more comfortable, memorable recording experience. A now one stop music production facility, MBRS has in house web design and media solutions, video editing and production, and of course, a professional team of producers, engineers, and musicians that can fulfill any requirement that is needed to see every project through its fullest potential. Every genre has its niche, and every artist finds theirs within the walls of MBRS and its talented group of production specialists.
