Looch
Luciano Delgado, or “Looch” as he is known throughout the industry, is a music technologist. For over twenty years he has successfully ridden the crest of the music technology evolution wave. He is a seasoned producer, engineer, programmer, keyboardist, and mastering engineer; as well as an overall electronic musician in his own right – having been the composer/keyboardist/producer to the once-popular underground band Scurge that pushed the envelope by melding underground electronic music and pop songwriting into a perfect synergy of traditional and non-traditional musical expression.
During his years in the audio mines (as he calls it) Looch has produced, engineered, and written for both bands and artists alike. Some of his experiences include working with artists, writers and producers like Lenny Love Medina, Dave Cabrera, Life in Sodom ,The Front, Lord Elbaz, Cee lo Green , Jack Nasty, The Green Room, Ho Chi Minh, The Three Jacks, Alex Fox, Thomas Van Dyke, Brian Murphy, Agony in the Garden, Lenard Rutledge, Marilyn Manson, Bonnie Pointer, Adrian Peever, The Path, 8-ball, MJG, Neil Meyers, and countless others that have, at some point along their musical journey, crossed the threshold of Miami Beach Recording Studios – once known as Sync Studios.
Continuing as a hands-on instructor and leader of digital audio platforms, Looch has embraced all music programs and currently runs ProTools HD, Logic, and Digital Performer sessions. His talents and expertise have allowed him to broaden his scope and Looch often consults and advises upstart studios and provides private lessons in music production software as well as studio design and implementation. As a past instructor of Recording Connection, in Beverly Hills, California, he is currently expanding this opportunity to aspiring South Florida producers and engineers.
With the new Studio A upgrade this year , come more opportunities and possibilities for artists of all types. Through Looch’s fascination with all forms of digital media, he has helped lead the way for the studio to handle Audio-Visual projects using Final Cut Studio. Their in-house capabilities allow for production of audio visual projects, inclusive of music bed creations, original motion picture scores, commercials, corporate and artist promotional videos, audio books, and unusual projects of all types. He and partner Gus Rubio have sharpened their Final Cut editing skills and look forward to providing a true concept to completion path to those who entrust their creative vision to MBRS’s video production team and affiliates. As an artist and producer he understands the necessity of balancing the creative realm with a commercially viable sound. He treats all projects as if they were his own – and, as he likes to say, “The proof is in the pudding…we have a 90% return rate clientele.”
This year, under Looch’s supervision, MBRS has partnered up with WMA (World Media Alliance) to provide state of the art global digital distribution and promotion to over 2000 online vendors where the artist keeps 100% of all monies derived from sales. Working closely with George Sergeev of WMA, Looch is giving artists and bands a direct course to market and get their music and projects heard and more importantly sold all around the globe. WMA currently has one of its many offices @ MBRS.
